Beauty retouching.Need advice.

Here is the sample I am working on my skills. Basically what i did here is : inverted GB+HP with linear light. couple of cleaning layers on top. Tell me where to move further, what to improve, what to change what is wrong and what is right. Thank you to all.

OK, here goes.

I think it is OK but the amount of blur applied seems to be excessive. I also think the highlights could be improved and the eyes need more work as they don't "pop" at all.

Re: Beauty retouching.Need advice.

Thank you man for reply, just an hour ago my post looked hopeless. No one was going to comment.
For now i did not touch the eyes.Just clean up and GB+HP.But thank you for advice.
i was hoping that blur will be all right.Though i can sense it.
What do you think about pores?
What is wrong with highlights?
meanwhile i will improve some of it and post back later with update.
Thank you.

nebulaoperator: Don't take it personal, i guess you are not getting feedbacks because the picture is too small to judge it, when you downsize a picture specially a retouched one, the details become invisible, If you post a larger size of it, i'm sure you are going to get some more feedback.

I agree with Boneappetit. It is almost impossible to judge such a tiny image. Remember that you are permitted to upload up to 5 images at 100KB each. So you would get twice the quality immediately by uploading separate before and after images. The 100K limit increases to 200K if you are a Patron member.

Regards, Murray

I cant comment on the pores because of the size of the image (I cant get to the link for the larger file where I am - sorry).

The highlights, and this is a personal thing, but I would dodge the upper part of the chin, the top lip and maybe the cheekbones.

BTW, @ShadowLight, the sharpened version looks a lot better - was that smart sharpen, USM or a second HP layer?

Huh? How do you recover frequencies? (sorry if that is a dumb question).

Avoid to treat the edges like that: You get clearly visible halos.
I would...
work on her left eye.
work on the skintones.
(her right ear pops out and the skin could be more even in means of coulour)
Use dodge and burn to shape the face and to soften some areas.

Keep on working...
