As a pro retoucher do you find you spend more time working a lower mega pixel file as compared to a high mega pixel file to achieve a similar result?
To narrow down the parameters, lets say you're given 3 files from the same shoot - a tight head and shoulders studio beauty shot. One is from a 10.5 mega pixel DSLR, another is from a 21 mega pixel DSLR, and the last is from a 39 mega pixel Hasselblad. Presume good/best lenses for all, shooting all at 100 ISO, and that you are given the raw file to process to your liking.
Same model, same position and with the usual amount of blemishes, skin smoothing, D&B, etc, that need to be fixed. Final output size is the same - 8x10".
How much does mega pixel size alter your workflow?
