How to get this tone??

http://fashiontography.blogspot.com/...la-åkrans.html

Can I post link like so?

Well, I'm wondering how to get the tone. The shadow on the top picture looks blue, and the shadow on the second picture is more magenta. I tried using curves, but didn't achieve the "dark blue shadow" or "pink" midtone (the flower on the third picture). The picture next to the rose is one interesting tone also, do any of you guys care to comment,

thank you.

This looks like split toning to me. Open the file in ACR and set the color for highlights and shadows. Then adjust the balance to taste.

Re: How to get this tone??

A very simple way to get this vintage tone is make a new layer and fill it with a very high chromatic bright blue. Then set the blending mode to exclusion and drop the opacity to around 15%. I use this method a lot in my retouching:

This look has a lot of blues in the shadows. You can achieve it with the blue curve. Also the shadows are very low in contrast which you can accomplish with a luminosity mask.

If you are too lazy to experiment, i have an action for this and a bunch of other popular effects. Not free though but quite affordable. The one that you are looking for has three versions and is called cross faded, cross blue and cross faded blue. Take a look at the before/after here:

Re: How to get this tone??

The blue curve is an alternate method of the solid fill exclusion at 10-15% opacity in different blend modes.

To target it only to the shadow you have to create shadow luminosity masks to the exact amount you want. I'll do a tutorial about that when i'm done with my actions.
