Digital White make up

Hello. This is my first post.
I try to work on this picture (only for exercise).
I find this on rollovers section of /www.msethjones.com/.

I start with clone stamp on face with 20% of opacity on new layaer and next i create a new selective color correction layer with mask. It's correct?

Now, i would insert white make up elements. Wich is the right approach and the style of layer (multiply, color burn etc) for create color make up shape and white make up shape? The shape would be with "add noise" + "blur" for more realistic effect?

Thanks.
Sorry for my basic english.

@Boneappetit: Why orange? why not red? what I like to say is, how to know which color to pick for other situations?

It is very good technique though, I like it, it offers a lot of possibilities for various skin tones.

You answered your own question: "it offers a lot of possibilities for various skin tones". Although you can create a preset using any color you like. On the other hand beauty retouches shouldn't have red (redish) shadows.

Thanks Boneappetit for the reply, but , still, why using Orange to get rid of Red, this was my original question. In other words, to get rid of redish shadows, you used Orange. Is there a relation between Red and Orange? Thanks

Calvin Hollwood really knows his stuff.

He used orange because there was red in the clothing that he didnt want to affect.
