Retouch work critique.

I did some healing to the skin, cloning in the hair, making the light in the neck as similar as the face, very subtle dodge and burn, enhanced the eyes, the hair and skin tone.

Please comment and tell me what do you think. All constructive messages are accepted.

Thank you very much. I think it was easier since the model has very good skin and good features and it is a very good picture, great illumination.

I agree, very nice work! Skin looks great, the color and tones are nice, the eyes pop but aren't overdone. One thing I might do (and this is just me) is use the liquify tool and push her earlobes in just a little bit. But that's just a personal preference.

And I agree with you, but in this photo I didn't want to change her features, but in general I'd do that.

Very easy process, just used curves masking the eyes only.

omg I am so proud of myself. I did a retouch on the original of this, and I think it actually looks good! lol Thank you so much Isaac for bringing this image and giving me the help with the eyes. I love your ideas. I studied your after image with a fine tooth comb and learned a lot!
I also used the method of dodge and burn that I just now learned on this site (frequency) and also using the spot healing tool on the frequency layer.(from the 15 minute thread) Thanks to you guys that shared that info!


I'm not a retoucher, just a children's photographer, but does anyone want to see it? Isaac, would you mind if I got critique on it because I want to know every single thing I did wrong or omitted? I do understand if you say no. Or, I could show it to you in private if you would prefer.
