Glamour Skin (?)

Hi everyone,

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction to achieving this kind of skin...

is it as simple as 3 layers (median, high pass [overlay], mask) and some D&B?

what about the guy (and his tattoo)? is it the same technique?

i've been told this is called glamour skin, but searching for it doesn't yield the same effect.

If by glamor skin you mean the skin you see on the cheesy magazines, then the answer is yes.

Of course, there is the right way to do this, but it is not easy, simple nor fast.

thanks! I must admit the minute I see 'skin' and 'blur' in the same sentence, I do tend to quiver a bit... (true story)
There are close ups from the same photographer and I must say the skin looks like it was done in 5 minutes. But what I do appreciate the most out of those images is the skin tone evenness.
