Help in understand this Adv style

Hi guys and girls,

I'm on this particular effect so long and can't get it 100%.

It's a "classic" advertising look. Very polished and some kinda of brushing there.
Anyone knows EXACTLY how to get it?

Yep thanks man for this link, very interesting.
I'm not really new in this so I'v red many Dave threads but if you look closer, you will see that some images are more "brush" & "paint" look, like this one: http://lh4.ggpht.com/_G4ZlboauXiA/S9...w/s320/tt7.jpg

or the one I posted.

It's not really the Dave or some kind of draganizing look i'm looking for or better to say, that is not the goal of my main question.
There is some final touch up that makes the look more Advertising and polished.
