Vodka glasses bottle Hi, i'm trying to learn the art of still life photography. I look a lot of perfect image and now my mind is maybe influence by these. Maybe is a good point of departure, maybe not beacause my image aren't what i have on mind and i'm angry, a bit! I taked different pictures of this bottle and i selected tis for start with green glass retouching. i have for all parts others photographs. Now i'm trying to create a perfect green bottle without lost the consistency of the glass but without the imperfection of the glass. Now i lost that and this isn't a glass bottle. I attach the image that i took, the image that i retouch (sh*t) and the effect i would..which is the right tecnique?i try different but without any results. Thanks.

Re: Vodka glasses bottle Give yourself less retouching to do with more careful lghting. For instance, move your bottle back to the edge of the table to reduce the horizon line that is drifting up from the bottom of the bottle. Make additional exposures to properly light the cap and label, then composite them with an exposure just for the glass.

Re: Vodka glasses bottle i have this and i think that my photograph isn't good but there is a method to create this or the shooting is 90% of work and the retouch can be for encrease contrast and for work with adjustement layers..?

Re: Vodka glasses bottle what I noticed is that your bottle doesn't have the sides lit.. the example you're referring too has multiple lit angles.. sides, back, top, etc.. that would be the first thing to reproduce before you start doing this all in PS.

| Re: Vodka glasses bottle The sample of the cologne bottle has a very strong contrast, you can clearly see where the darkest area is and where the lightest area is (compare with grey scale). Therefore, if you try to incorporate that into your vodka bottle it should improve. From what i've recently learned using curves in psd it allows you to set the darkest area and the lightest area.
