Re: Need some feedback

You did a nice job except a little more texture on the skin should show....skin is too smooth.

Re: Need some feedback

When I'm done retouching I take a break for an hour or two from the image, then come back with fresh eyes. Usually, I reduce the opacity of the total retouch to about 70% and add some light gaussian noise to the skin - could work for you here to add some texture back.

Re: Need some feedback

Great work in cleaning up the image. As mentioned already, bring the opacity down can bring some texture back but I'd like to add one extra advice. It's always good to be mindful of the age of your subject. Unless your goal is to make the subject years younger, try to retain some of the finer details that got lost. For example the creases in the neck, the way the highlight breaks up on the cheek and forehead. These are details that could be retained while reducing (not removing) the blotchiness of the skin. Skin is naturally blotchy and it's imperfections will lend to hiding some of your obvious retouches. I like how you retained the highlighted wrinkle on the right side of the mouth and feel you should have retained more on the left side as well. You also did a great job around the eyes where some of the wrinkling detail was not lost.

Re: Need some feedback

I would remove the blotches, mostly, but just reduce (not eliminate) the wrinkles. As it is, she looks like a plastic face with graying hair.

Agree -- nice job, but now it could be dialed back just a little to look more natural.

Unless she specifically wanted it gone, I would keep the little white mole on her right chin, subdued and softened of course.

Maybe, a little less softening, leaving more skin texture visible and bit more emphasis on her eyes ?

Cheers!
