Help with style

Hi there ,
I am hoping someone can push me in the right direction to match a style that an Art Director wants me to emulate.
The images are already shot and I have very little time to sort out the post production work

(It's the polaroid images with the typography on them I am interested in)

The images have a polaroid border on them, which is fairly easy to sort out ,but it's the actual subject matter style itself that I am having problems with in matching the style.
They are muted in colour, grainy and have a really nice edged border too


If this style comes from a particular action ,then perhaps someone knows what it is?
if not- any pointers to give me a head start?

So far I am playing with added grain, desaturation/sharpening/ vignetting/
Clouds filter on 50% grey with overlay

I may point out that I am a Photographer and my retouching ability is pretty much just cosmetic ,so an action (with layers to alter to taste ) would be the most useful answer for me but any help would be appreciated.

Urggh! No takers??
I have to start this tomorrow, complete by Weds and was hoping I would just be pressing play on the action button sitting back and sipping coffee

The nearest thing I have found so far are Jana Werner's Hipstamatic actions- which might be worth an investment (as long as I can prevent them from being square in final format).

I have also managed to download a vintage look action which might prove fruitful- on tests I have done on my laptop (I am away from my workstation till tomorrow) it's not looking bad -if I remove the layers with the sepia look on them.

If anyone also knows how to achieve this look manually please advise-
Even if it's just to confirm I am already thinking about aproaching it in the right way already.
