How to improve this hair? Help!

Hi all!

I've been working on this image. It's not finished yet but I think I'm doing a decent job here.

I'm having problems with hair, specially in the left side. The hair is tangled and I don't know how to make it look better.

Any advice will be very welcome!

Thanks!

Re: How to improve this hair? Help!

Hi Luna, maybe grafting (copying hair from another part) and blending it in would help?

Take a patch of the area immediately below the 'fuzz', rotate it slightly and position it over the lower third of the fuzz. Two more patches, each rotated slightly more than the previous patches time should cover the problem area. You can use a bit of warp for refinement if necessary. Feather the patches with a soft airbrush restore each time.
Very nice work Luna.

You might even have a small section of great hair to patch in and blend in from the same photo shoot... or even from another image. Just use curves to match the colors and feather the hair patch in over the area. Darker hair like this usually blends in well and hides the fix pretty well too.

Re: How to improve this hair? Help!

Hi all!

Thank you very much for the advice!

Repairman: I didn't think on what you say... it looks pretty obvious when I read it!
I will try that later.

I don't have other pictures from the shot. This picture is from a MM photographer. She left it for retouching practice.

So, what I did at the end was drawing the hairs. It took me a loooot of time, but I thing the result is pretty decent.
What do you thing? Any coment is welcome!

Here you have my final attempt!

I think you did a great job of straightening the hair by hand...i know it takes a long time...but the shot is very attractively done. Nice work.
