Re: Retouching Workflow used?

Hello!

There is no one size fits all workflow to fix every image. It is something that comes with taste. How do you like your steak? Probably not the way I do. So there is no point in explaining how i would do this, i could throw some techniques at you and get you totally confused in a matter of seconds. If you would like that, i'll do it but it doesn't help you.

Just look at the images, look at the techniques that are available on this website and learn, especially learn and change stuff in the way you like it. And create your own stuff!

Hope it helps.

Re: Retouching Workflow used?

do YOU think you are going good? In order to give critic to the image i have to know some more things like what is the idea, what are you trying to tell me, what is the mood you are trying to set. Next to that i'm not completely sure what your before and after is, since one image is bigger i suppose the blue-ish version is your after. Did you do the photography yourself?

I think theres a lot of distracting colors in the background (the books on the table, one is yellow and it is also the brightest color in the image together with the whites, this stuff catches my eye while the model should. Next to that i am not really font of the blue-ish tint but well thats personal and totally depends on what you are trying to set. If you are trying to make it cold you did a good job... so you need to tell me more. Hope that helps.

@bart1986

hello,yes i did the photography,it was for a boutique.The emphasis has to be on the dress,i cooled the tone to give it some contrasty look,that Pink book or whatever they were,are really distracting but i felt that they were invoking the cyans i applied.I just felt that way.
My main question was related to the face,as i have quoted the 2 images in my first post,they have some defined chin line,and hairline.
Let me know what else i could do to that image,thanks
