Re: Pleaseee Help!

What look were you referring to? The overly hot skin tones, or the blurred texture?

Re: Pleaseee Help!

I'm not sure what you are after either, but my thought is maybe you like the variation in the reflected light off the skin, which gives you more dynamic look in the skin tones? It seems like there is both incandescent light and some natural sunlight coming through a window.

In Dan Margulis' book about LAB color, he shows that you can really pop the dynamic range of skin tones by applying a really steep curve adjustment layer at a highly reduced opacity 5-20%(in LAB, of course). First convert your image to LAB, apply the curve, and then flatten and convert back to RGB. I don't know, maybe that will give you the result you want.

I should say that he applied the curve to the A and B channels, of course, not the L. I haven't really used this technique myself... just a thought.
