Confessions of a Mad Photo Assistant

I recently stumbled upon this link which shows various lighting setups used by photographers such as Dave Hill, Annie Leibovitz, and Jill Greenberg. I thought you guys might find it interesting.

Re: Confessions of a Mad Photo Assistant

Also greatly appreciated.

Although I am curious. Many (if not all) of the drawn out diagrams have a tag of Kevin Kertz. Do you know if this is his blog? His website is pretty killer.

Also- I noticed a link on Kevin Kertz personal website on the bottom of the main page it has alink to "Download Lighting Setup File" but when I went to download I came up with an error when trying to unzip the zip file.. did anyone else see this/successfully download this file? I assume it's a PDF of all these lighting setups.. which would be awesome to peruse...

Also.. I wonder.. are these fact or fiction? Is he just dissecting and assuming what the setup was like or is this definitely similar to the actual lighting setups used by said photographers?
Some of them seem to be reasonably accurate due to the videos provided.. but others.. idk.. I question cause the lighting seems like it might be different.. idk..

It is a PSD file. For some reason I can not see the icon - only the name of the file after unzipping, but it works fine in Photoshop. It is pretty cool.

Yeah - I got the zip file and tried unzipping it using stuffit as well as archive utility
both times it stopped with an error.. couldn't unzip.
Is the psd file a bunch of lighting setups? Would be cool to have on hand..
