This is great! If you don't mind, could you tell me how you got rid of the light/flare on the left side of her head?
Thanks

That, my friend, is the chef's secret hehe... I'm just kidding... If you take a good look at my go, you'll see I cut her hair on purpose, because of the bright flare. I painted over the background copying the background color, and then I used a lot of burning over her front hair, and painted hair over the zone...

Thanks, I noticed that you cut off the right side. I played around with it but I used a 50% grey layer and burned at different opacities. I couldn't get rid of the flare though. Thanks again

leopp,

I love your retouch. Nice clean face and skin...very vibrant colors which are very attractive. Nicely Done!!! Everything pops on the image for me.

Re: Pretty girl for retouching practice

I'm late to the party, but thought I would give this image a shot. Was a great exercise in working with hair and though I wasn't totally able to eliminate the flare, I think it's been reduced enough to be acceptable. Feedback is welcome. Thanks again for a great image to work with!

I think version 4 is great! But I loved your first too (09-01) for those vivid colours that missed in your later versions.

Thanks to all.

Hello Graphirus!

Thanks for giving us this great photograph to practice on!
Below is my version.

I would like to ask you if I can use the retouched image in my portfolio (I will credit you as the photographer).

Cheers,
Nikolay

Re: Pretty girl for retouching practice

I would love to give this a try, the link takes me to a blogsite (i guess yours) but there is no image there. Let me know of another link, as I's like the practice.

Thanks,

Re: Pretty girl for retouching practice

I also would like to try this picture. Could you make it available again, please? It's soooo useful to have the full high res version to practice on.

Thank you!

This toning is exactly what I have been looking for. Can I send you a personal message or you explain in on here?

I'd like to give it a shot too.
A reup of the tiff file would be really great... or if someone could share it if Graphirus is fine with that?!
