Deconstruct this Annie Leibovitz photo

I'm guessing there was a small octabank behind and to the right of Mrs. Bruni, masked out by another empty frame of the scene.

What do you think?

It could be totally natural light.

Thanks, that's helpful. I know that it might be cliche to most to post an A.L. photo, but I've always been attracted to her lighting technique...(Hey, I like what I like). I've just never noticed her comping out a light before in one of her photos, like the one I referenced above...Interesting idea.

Re: Deconstruct this Annie Leibovitz photo

This was shot with a wide angle lens (look at the barrel distortion at the far right) so the camera was a lot closer to the subject than it looks. Once you realise that then you realise that there could be a large softbox high and to camera right. The highlights on Ms Bruni's face and dress would be consistent with this.
