Photoshop problem - figure someone here might know

My apologies for posting in this forum, but no-one knowledgeable seems to read the Software forum where I originall posted this. And I need to get it sorted.

Photoshop CS5 has decided to suddenly switch all my menu flyouts from the right side of the menu (the one with the little arrow pointing right) to the left side. Can't figure out why.

Somebody suggested it might be windows 7's control of my Wacom tablet (Intuos 2) so I disabled windows control of that but to no effect.

Has anyone else come across this strange behaviour? More important, does anyone have a solution? I've searched Adobe online help without success (it's where I picked up the windows tip above).

Again apologies for posting in the wrong forum but this is where the most experienced people seem to be.

I suggest that you should post this at Adobe as well.

Have you reset your preferences; Interface>Reset Default Workspaces?

I think I might have seen this behavior on really small screens/windows

Did you do anything beforehand that might have accounted for the switch? Use a right to left font? Adjusted screen resolution? Saved a custom workspace? Anything? Installed new software?

HTH - Nancy

This certainly isn't a small monitor - it's a 24" Eizo. I do have a custom workspace running as I put all my palettes onto my second monitor so I'll reluctantly reset my workspaces. I've certainly installed other programs but no others are working strangely.

I tried posting over at Adobe but to no avail. I've reset all my table properties in windows 7 control panels but to no avail. Thing is, I'm not the only one seeing this bizarre behaviour. A google search brings up a bunch of people, none of whom have been able to solve the problem.

I seem to recall that this is because of the TablettInputService.

To deactivate it go to "Start"-"Run"-"net stop TablettInputService" (you might have to run this with Administrator privileges).

Thanks also. If I have problems with Nancy's solution I'll try that next.
