Hi,

Im hoping someone here can help me. I have a bit of Photoshop knowledge but not the experience! Can anyone remove or show me how to get rid of the pink tinge to the paperwork in this picture?

Hi Steve and welcome to the forum.

One easy way would be to add a Hue and Saturation layer select Magenta and reduce saturation. Another is to correct the image with Curves or Levels layer

Because this is such an easy and obvious color correction, I bet you can fix easily fix this by hitting the 'auto' button in the levels adjustments. Otherwise, use the white eyedropper on your white background and the black on a true black point. Voila!

Unfortunately neither the Auto correction in level or the eyedropper for white point will work satisfactorily in this case IMO due to the posted image having clipped highlights.

Re: Removal of Pink Tinge.

You are right, Tony. I didn't open the image, but thought an auto adjustment might do the trick.

If the highlights are blown, I just set the white point to something neutral that is a bit darker than highlight and the black to a neutral black that could be lighter than true black and set the blend mode of the levels layer to 'color' to preserve the proper luminosity while quickly correcting the color cast.

Nice chillin, I did notice the rather strange flesh tones but only went as far as removing the Magenta cast overall. Your version looks much more natural to me
