Image-editing / artificial intelligence (AI)

Hello,

Any recommendations for specific image-editing programs applying artificial intelligence (AI)?

Thank-you

Yes, I understand the concept of Artificial Intelligence, thank you. I simply have never heard of any image editing software that employs this and to what end. One of my good friends is a AI genius who has his own company that is contracted by the biggest names in computing here in the bay. I could ask him. I just don't understand what you are looking for exactly?

The first thought I had was auto-painting software such as GMX - PhotoPainter, Dynamic Auto-Painter and such.

Pattern, u funny

can't imagine what would, could be the application of training neural network to... do what with the image? ... just had a flashback ... must have been at univ. at some point
input(image)-> NNet-> output.confetti

Edit:
PhotoPainter, DAP have nothing to do with AI

They paint better than I do, so that fits the description for me! ;-)

'SilverFast AI' (metioned in 'RetouchPRO') is a scanner-image program applying artificial intelligence in 'SilverFast AI's' 'Auto-Adjust' feature.

You may need to turn off artificial intelligence to pay for Silverfast, yow. VueScan may be a better alternative, and works with most scanners instead of one per copy like Silverfast. But then again, there must be some reason Silverfast exists.

Re: Image-editing / artificial intelligence (AI)

I'm interested in image-editing that applies (AI) towards automatic repair of scrathes, and removal of objects in images.

Many image-editing programs require the user to highlight the portions of images thay need corrected in order to indicate what image-edting needs to be processed.

Re: Image-editing / artificial intelligence (AI)

I do know that there is plenty of scanner software that removes dust and scratches automatically (such as Silverfast which comes bundled with many scanners) but none of this would constitute any kind of artificial intelligence, more of an automated function based on some kind of algorithm. I think the AI is more of a marketing ploy on their part.

On a similar note, of wanting to automate things. I recently read a post about i2e automated image enhancement. I found a link for a download for a photoshop plug-in, but it appears to be Windows only (I'm on Mac). Has anyone in this forum used this software?

Re: Image-editing / artificial intelligence (AI)

I've tried it. Digital Grin / Smugmug offered a discount to users / forum members a few years ago. After experimenting with it a bit, I found it to be pretty useless for me. It had as many settings and sliders as other software, which surprised me since I thought it was supposed to be more automated.
