Lips makeup

I know that makeup is a difficult task. I have a picture, and her lips look very dry and hard. How it looks wet and attractive.
I want to try this look but failed. I'm looking for tips to achieve this look. Thks you.

If you use Photoshop you can post fairly large pictures which are under 100k using the 'save for web' function in Photoshop as described here:
Size, Quality and/or Format your Attached Images.. (Click here)

How to attach Files/Images to your Posts or Threads:

If you want to post a larger resolution that is over 100K then you can host your image elsewhere and attach a link in the thread as you did here, but also please attach an under 100K version (so the thread remains useful in the future, regardless of external links).
below is a very simplified way to fix lips but with a little refinement can give good results

Copied the lips then I just smoothed the lips a little using healing brush and patch tool .. then Filter>Noise>Median about 5.. hide all mask then reveal lips (use any method your comfortable with to smooth the lips while retaining the contours)
Image>Adjustments>Replace Color selected the lip highlights and slid the Lightness Slider to the right and adjusted the Fuzziness till the lips looked right... hide all mask then reveal lips
New Softlight layer paint lips black ..reduce opacity to taste (72%)
another Softlight layer paint red.. reduce opacity (50%)
or pick a color for the new softlight layers

Re: Lips makeup

I would dodge the deeper cracks and paint white on a blank layer (opacity adjusted to taste) in order to get some shine/highlight

Re: Lips makeup

Tried using the De-Crack action (both Dark and Light -- Zip file here (An explanation/tutorial here... ))
combined with the Color Replacement to get the highlights..

I think this is a great image to 'Practice Cubed' on !
