My Baby Photo Needs A Pick Me Up

This is another one of my favorite photos. I scanned it as a TIF and it turned it black and white. Any suggestions on how I can spice this photo up. Oh and just so you know I did not cut my hair. My wonderful dad always trimmed my bangs...hehehe...I think I might have been a moving target when he would cut my hair...lol

I think the picture just needs sharpening (i.e. contrast adjust etc) - maybe a few tweeks here and there - nothing drastic is needed here to bring the picture back to life!

IMO the image needs a curve layer to increase overall contrast and would probably benefit from the face and hands darkening with another curve layer.

You will probably want to remove paper texture which can be seen as a diamond pattern all over the image. The FFT filter may do the job or you could try noise removal and paint image detail back where required
