FFT Filter Question
I have never used the FFT Filter. I am using a Mac OSX Lion computer with Photoshop CS5.1 software. Is filter compliant with this operating system? I wouldn't know where to put the filter. Can help would be appreciated.
Is there an alternate route for taking textures out of an old photo?

ImageJ is the only app I've seen on the Mac platform that contains a FFT filter. It's free and open source, but typical of such software, the UI can be cumbersome compared to commercial software.

Give it a shot.

Depends on the photo and the texture. Note that the FFT approach will only be able to help you with repeating patterns.
