Vivid painted effect!

Im wondering how to get the same result as the picture below. Im trying to figure out the techniques behind it, and i guess some dodge/burning has a part of it.

Whats your input?

Re: Vivid painted effect!

Without the before image it's difficult to speculate how the after was achieved...

Something to try: Topaz Labs offers a very popular multi-function plugin called Adjust. ( - free download/fully functional trial)

"Spicify" is among many Adjust factory presets that may yield the results you're looking for. Might be worth a look.

Google: topaz adjust spicify
...then click (Google) Images for samples.

Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with Topaz Labs. I just like their plugins of which I have purchased many.

Hope this gets you started and/or leads to more ideas...

Re: Vivid painted effect!

Do you have more links to pics in that style? Tineye doesn't finde more pictures.

At first sight, it looks more like cgi or composite with cgi elements.
Especially the hands look a bit odd to me... they are a bit to round in my opinion.

But as DannyRaphael allready said, without before it's hard to tell.
