| How it's done?-Something between glitz and glamour usually I try do find out how something was done on my own, but this time it won't work. Usually i do graphics and compositings and my retouch style is much more natural and magazine based ( inspired by natalia taffarel ) but the following style looks quite nice to me and so, I want to get behind it. http://www.model-kartei.de/sedcard/p...uction/239459/ (sorry for just linking, can't upload images from my iPad ) After a few researches it looks like a combination of glitz and glamour retouching ( added by a few compositing aspects ). Its an overall smooth look but doesn't go that much to a plastic puppet look. The artist ( ivenzia-art ) has published how to videos but they are quite useless because of the step by step and bad quality. The only thing I'm sure, she uses some digital painting techniques to overpaint the images in a few steps. But this looks to me more like improving the look then creating it. Unfortunately neither the basic glitz retouch nor tutorials of her ( ivenzia's ) style are out there. At the moment I'm focused on the smooth look of the skin, the colors and compositing effects aren't very difficult for me. My first attempts by using surface blur, inverted high pass, d&b, blending modes etc. won't get me much closer And to be honest, I could find out how its done on my own, but I'm not that motivated to do month of tryin and analysing like i did with the art of Michael Oswald ( MichaelO )... perhaps someone else know allready more then I do in this case. So, any hints or suggestions would be great. best wishes Acid Last edited by Acid.Drop; 02-10-2012 at 04:29 AM. |

| Re: How it's done?-Something between glitz and gla I think most of it has to do with meticulous dodging and burning. She has removed every harsh transition that doesn't need to be there, along with some that you normally would see there (the highlight-to-shadow transition below the lower lips are very soft). Look at the before/after on her website. I'm not sure what she has done for skin texture as I can't see close enough but it could be meticulous healing or perhaps some external texture. |
