Re: Need help to achieve specific color look

this last approach dosn't seem to work so well for me.

It seems like you dodge/burn tecnique to bring out something and tone down other.

but it seems like the colour is a bit off when i use the match colour way

I then used my PWL actions (Paint With Light) matching the colors. I also made new layers and painted the sky color. Finally, finishing it off with a contrast/brightness adjustment layer to get a closer "dull" effect.

I seem to have trouble getting this look.
Can you give a step by step to getting there.. Maybe its the matching colors that goes wrong?

Re: Need help to achieve specific color look

Run Match Color. Again, " It did not match the color but it did give the same luminosity values".

PWL and sample the colors from the image you want to copy. It will bring back too much contrast so..."contrast/brightness adjustment layer to get a closer 'dull' effect".

"I also made new layers and painted the sky color." Make a layer for the lower sky (greenish) and one for the upper sky (blue). Try different layer modes.

Use Masks on each layer for tweaking.
