Whites Like Eudes de Santana

Hello everyone! as my first post I wanted to discuss how Eudes tones his highlights. I love the contrast of the first photo which looks similar to a Yashica T4. With the second and third photo I'm finding it difficult to reproduce.

Looks like the highlights are mostly blown out to me. He uses 2 umbrellas for a flat light - you can see the reflections in the window in the 3rd photo. Other than that, it looks like he uses cheap cameras with plastic lenses as the images are not very sharp. I'd say he's emulating the Instamatic look.

Looks sort of like bleach bypass except the low tones are moved up a few levels too. Check out Red Paw's cool Bleach Bypass filter (it's free but they offer a pro version too).
