Look at these do they sharpen these pictures? Some kind of trick. Everything in the picture is almost razor sharp? And no, i dont think its high pass.

nothing unusual as sharpening goes...
composites and images with deep DoF .. use slow Fstop
shoot at hyperfocal distance

I think you are confusing sharpening with tonemapping or local contrast adjustments. The three samples you show all have the "signature" of HDR like tonemapping, which can be acheived in several ways.

Any of the HDR programs can do that on a single image (without bracketed sets). The LucisArts program does that. Google (or search Youtube) for "Calvin Hollywood Freaky Details" for a way to do it within Photoshop.
