Profile Device Link RGB for the rapid toning and the stylizations for your photographs.

Re: Colorizer for Color Lookup, Photoshop Cs6

nice

as discussed before, it looks like some pro-photographers have integrated custom ICC for grading directly in C1, which can use profiles just for this purpose.

.. I'm just not quite clear... has he made a software to create the custom ICC, or he offers just the ICCs for the "looks"?

To use this of profile is possible only in Photoshop (profile Device Link) (C1 this class of profiles does not understand)
I offers just the ICCs for the "looks". More exact than the profile they are ready for the use by the Color Lookup.

Re: Colorizer for Color Lookup, Photoshop Cs6

I've started a blog with free Color Lookup presets (luts, abstract and device link profiles)
Hope you will enjoy my work!

The question I'd ask is why? I can see the need for those using LUTs or DLP's in another application and you wanted to maintain that look within Photoshop. Short of that, why use a LUT, Device Link Profile for this work?

until I used here is a reference to the 288 fields:target
and it is subject to correction tools that have "lined up" for a photo image in order to obtain a particular style. Then adjusted the target is converted to a text file in the new field values Lab
What correction tools used to produce the adjusted target?

288/918 sounds like i1 (X-rite) targets and I recognize the IT8/ECI CMYK. I don't understand why you've selected these targets.

Andrew
First, it's a huge time saver, 1 Click effect vs multi-steps actions or scripts or other presets
you can adjust Color Lookup with blend modes, Blend If, apply image, opacity, or other corrections tools using clipping masks etc, or you can work selectively on the masks

Concerning 3d luts and Device Link profiles, they can work only in one color space (RGB or CMYK - for Device Link only), Abstract profiles may work in l.a.b., RGB, CMYK, but no one lut/profile can be readable in Grayscale

There are some new tools on the market like 3D LUT Creator
https://www.facebook.com/groups/3dlutcreator/

but the application is still under development
anyway, it can work like External editor in Lightroom and can import applied lut to Photoshop (CS6 or CC only, both x32 and x64)
Seems English FAQ is still missed, but some info is available

Re: Colorizer for Color Lookup, Photoshop Cs6

I understood pretty all formats of color lookup tables (luts):
CSP - Cinespace CSP - Photoshop read only 32x32x32, 17 and 33 are unreadables, it uses Spine interpolation
CUBE - Iridas & After Effects format, when applying in Photoshop, check Dither box, Data Order - RGB, Table Order - BGR
3DL - Generic and Inferno Autodesk format
LOOK - Iridas backed in look up table

But I can't find any information about 1dls & 3dls format
Any help will be appreciated
Thank you!

Re: Colorizer for Color Lookup, Photoshop Cs6

Second difference
Courtesy of MM forum

Quote:
Imagine you want the color (32, 127, 255) to become (40, 255, 0), but you also want the color (20, 127, 20) to become (50, 0, 50)

That's impossible to do with Photoshop curves because in the first case you want 127 green to rise to 255 green, but in the second case you want 127 green to fall to 0 green. You can't have it both ways at the same time with 3 1-dimensional curves.

With one 3-dimensional function, (or with 1 3D LUT), you can simply reassign (32, 127, 255) to become (40, 255, 0) and reassign (20, 127, 20) to become (50, 0, 50)

And you can get soft falloff as you move away from those points. So you are not yanking a curve, you are moving a 3D color point embedded in 3D color space. You are warping the color cube.

---

In three 1D curves in 8 bit space as LUTs, there are 3 lists (r, g and b) of 256 value substitutions. That makes 256 * 3 = 768 values.

In one 3D color cube in 8 bit space there are 256^3 points in the cube. That's 16777216 points, which is a lot to process. So the cube is approximated as a sparser voxel grid, 16 times less dense in all dimensions. 16 regions (with endpoints at both ends) is 17 points, so the 3D LUTS are stored as 17^3 = 4913 color points, and anything falling between them is interpolated. Much faster to compute.
PS Sorry for my bad English
