Oh, this look, real easy, 30~40 hours of meticulous and painstaking micro editing utilizing Frequency Separation, D&B, selective curves, etc, etc and each and every tool Photoshop has to offer.
No, I am not an A$$, but, it is the ultimate truth, and no, there is no action, plugin or program that will do it for you. This 30~40 estimate is per ONE face!

Awesome, I figured it would be time consuming. Do you know of any tutorials on the technique?

I am somewhat reluctant to recommend a book but you might take a look at
Scott Kelbys 'Professional Portrait Retouching Techniques for Photographers using Photoshop' .
The book has helped me it has over 300 pages devoted to portrait tech.\

You can spend a lot of time or a little, depending on your needs. I don't see those as 30-40 hr retouches. Who has that kind of budget?

If you're just starting out I'd see how far you can get with shortcuts and work your way up from there.

See her tutorials page:

Otherwise, see how some really talented retouchers work (Tarantino, Garness, Dresser, Beene, et al):

Thank you for the suggestions. Would this style be the D&B technique I keep reading about? I still haven't found anything that looks quite like the photo's I've posted so I'm not sure.

It is everything, read my first post to you, there is no one technique, That is why I don;t do it for the pictures I take even though I nkow Photoshop inside and out, I am not welling to spend the required time retouching, may be an hour or two, beyound that, no one is paying for the time.

What do you expect Grant?
A secret unknown technique?
Sorry but i can see special techniques in the pictures you posted.
You can create images like that with old school ps techniques.
I see normal but good pictures without a special look.
If you like to create images like that start with the photography and lighting.
Do you have images like that to retouch?

#3 - Light evenly, lotsa soft light
#4 - Edit as mentioned above (but don't discount that the priority should be #1, 2, etc)
