Your tutorials are extremly informative and yet very compact. Thank you for sharing. Would it be too bold to ask for a tutorial on how to get texture look on a photograph?

I'm dodging and burning with different blending modes correcting the hue and sat but i'm still missing the thing that gives of e.g. Dave Hill this wow factor. To explain this a bit further i'll give couple of examples below.

After hours of messing with the picture and numerous tries i think i can get the effects. Skin tones are relatively easy to achive, but this texture look is beyond me.
