Re: Crashed Airplane Tutorial

Absolutely:

Basically, this is an easy way to fade out an black/white background.

1) Select Layer of the bg you want to extrude
2) Enter Layer Style Setting (by double-clicking, f.i.)
3) Go to "Blend if [Grey]" section below the "Advanced Blending" section
There are two sliders. 1. "This Layer" and 2. "Underlying Layer".
You wann use the "This Layer" slider.
4) If your background is dark, select the left, black slider and slide it towards the white one, until most parts of the dark background disappear.
5) Then click on the black slider while holding "alt"-Key (on a mac, probably an win, too) and drag it towards the white slider, until you get a smooth transition.

So what this feature basicly does, it tells the layer to make all the dark tones transparent, you selected by sliding the first time. With the second slide, the "alt"-Key slide, you tell the layer to make a transparency transition between the first slider and the second slider.

I hope this works for you! If you need any more assitance, let me know!

Re: Crashed Airplane Tutorial

Can't get past the Like us on Facebook popup. It's sitting at the bottom of my 13" MBP display with the buttons off screen. So I can't like you even if I want to and I can't see the tutorial.

Needless to say, like is not the word that comes to mind right now.
