At least on my camera the rear curtain sync option is only available when you have one of the newer exII speed lights connected. I would love to know if there is a way around this that I might be overlooking

I use simple YongNuo 602 triggers. If I set my camera to Rear Curtain Sync it really flashes at the end. Camera is in 'M' mode.

Yep, only with speedlights.
