The Probably the most efficient way would be to work in actual duo / tri / quad mode, using the specific colors you want. When it looks right, convert to rgb. Let Photoshop dither with the numbers, you worry about the look.

and in addition to above, for added flexibility, make a smart object of your dou/tri/quadtone before converting to RGB. Then you can double click on the smart object in layer palette (opens the xxxtone up in new window) and edit it in its native mode. close and save to update into the RGB parent file.

--Shift Studio.

Re: can i create in rgb DUO/Tree/quadtone ?

Simple answer. No.
Complicated answer: yes. But it's a pain in the ass.

My question: why are you making it difficult for yourself?

If you want to work in rgb, it's guesswork. The essence of duo tones is that they target a specific color to a predefined range. That's counter-intuitive to the way RGB curves work. It can be fudged, but if you can nail it precisely first, then convert to RGB and edit further why not be precise?

Maybe I'm not understanding your priorities or requirements.

because i shoot in raw , i open it with camera raw , and in photoshop
i like to have my image in rgb because it's still in color , i mean i like to have my image in color so i can tweek the colors to look better in black and white
and i would like to work non descruttive mode
i would like to emulate the duo/tree or quad tones with 2,3 or 4 solid colors adjustament layer

thanks
