Re: My second Beauty retouch

nice try ..

the skin is too red .. try to work on higher quality images and don't smooth the skin with filters just use the dodging and burning technique

An overly "smoothed" one though...

Re: My second Beauty retouch

Look for a tutorial on inverted highpass. This will help you smooth the color transition on the skin. If you just blur it u loose way to much detail. Don't use it.

With dodge and burn you can smooth the transition on the edges of the figure just by darkening it. It will not be a good composition, but still will be better then what you've done here.

For skin colour - suggestion - Hue and Saturation layer - can explain in detail how to change it within 2 min time if u want.

Mer-Cee,

Up above, I gave very wise A$$ comment. Do you know why?
If you can't tell on your own if it is good or bad, then, retouching is not for you. We all do, at some moment, require the input of others, however, our work should be close enough. You should compare your work to that of others, see how close you are, find what is wrong with it, then, go from there.

I´m still learning and i know that there are alot of mistakes and i shouldn't have uploaded the file right away. i should of waited a day or two, then examine the image again for corrections.

practice makes perfect

Re: My second Beauty retouch

Your method of learning is all wrong, and you aren't going to learn anything from this approach. I can tell that because the choices seem derived from an idea of photoshopping rather than an idea of what you want to project here. I would back away from the crazy lipstick and stop with the wild skin painting. The lip color should work for the subject, and if you're going to use a saturated one, you should watch out for yellowish teeth. You placed her in a new background, as you wanted to see her elsewhere. The thing there is that you have to make the lighting, perspective, scale, and depth of field work between the two shots. If you're confused, a book on illustration will help there, as it tends to build up from nothing. Your after version emphasized a slight bikini tan. I'm not referring to the highlights that are natural to certain anatomical apexes around the shoulders and cleavage. It's just going pale isn't that flattering.

Don't take these comments as a guideline and try to redo it with them. You really need to build up some basic understanding of lighting and form or you will just post up more of the same with marginal improvement.
