Thumbs up Re: Attention to detail

Someone did a great job. But it's the methods we all use. Of course you path everything out when it's a product shot, of course you use multiple images that show of parts of the product in the best way. Nothing out of this world.

Re: Attention to detail

Probably aliens.

Seriously, I was thinking we're gonna see some thought process, not just a speed up.

As you know, reasons are transferable image, and program to program, and tools are just tools.

Still, great job, but I don't consider this to have a "before" and "after", as it is always a composite.

I think much of the time people are looking for a specific formula. I've tried to point out to others that they often aren't looking for a set of actions but a way to navigate the process from start to finish.

Re: Attention to detail

Gotta love the youtube comments!

"I am curious, since all of the photographs were created on a closed controlled set, cannot the photographer adjust the lighting better to minimize the amount of retouching required to make the watch look good?"

Sure.

Besides the superb retouch, the watch is sexy as hell! On-par with the latest Speedmaster Chronograph, not that usual flashy gold rolex thing.

In the comments it's said that's a sped up 2 hr retouch. I think 2 hrs is quite fast for that amount of work. Lotsa pathing.

It shows at least the majority of the actions. You can see how fast the cursor moves. The video is 9 minutes. This would be a speedup of a bit more than 13 times if he finished in exactly 2 hours. Does that seem totally out of line with what you're watching (bleh couldn't resist)?

Re: Attention to detail

Great, keep it up. This is why photographers and designers think we can somehow finish 30 images a day. We're just machines, right? Who don't eat lunch, get up and stretch, you know…….
