How to achieve the look of Benjamin Lennox

One of my preferred fashion photographers, Im curious on people's impressions of the work of Benjamin Lennox and upper studio. The work seems to be a combination of in camera effects, light painting and merging in Photoshop. Have a look and let me/us know what you think and how you think the process is achieved.

Re: How to achieve the look of Benjamin Lennox

I think it's mostly achieved through clever use of blending modes.

Re: How to achieve the look of Benjamin Lennox

Yeah I agree blending modes are a part of it along with careful masking and what looks like multiple exposures with slow shutter speeds in camera. Really appreciate the analogue feel they have and the depth to the surface. Lots of planning I suspect, and interesting to work on from a retouching perspective, not the kind of work that comes along often.
