Looks like de-saturation, applied to the photo/photos taken with neutral density filter to extend the exposure and produce the it low-key/reduced contrast.

I'm not sure regarding the contrast. Much of that could have probably been handled in post. I didn't know longer exposure would reduce contrast much though. Where did you discover that?

See, that's what happens when I have two different techniques in mind.

You are correct, klev, I misspoke regarding the ND filter. I had contrast filter on the brain when I made my comment, but was actually talking to someone about ND filters.
