I think this is a cheap price for tool like this - and developed by one guy. He is smart and his software is worth of this money.
Sorry yes, $199 which is even better if I can convince myself it will do the task I need. I'm real, real close. Where is that credit card...

I am on Mac - no probs. I remember I read about Microsoft version and there is a workaround posted in English somewhere... Or you can contact developer - I am sure he will help you.

I did but it did not work. I'm using V0.93, I have a hard time running 0.99 still 3dlutcreator is not a tool for retouching it is more for color correcting and color grading your images.

Be aware that all tutorials are in Russian! download the manual, in English, see if you can do anything based on the manual alone. There is a lengthy thread on MM regarding the subject.

You can get some of the tutorials in English also on Youtube.

You beat me to that punch. Yes, the video's range from pretty good to excellent, I posted a URL a few days ago on working with Masks. Between the English Video's and just reading the darn manual, plenty of information.

I do recall in May 1990, ripping open Photoshop 1.0.7 and having nothing more to guide me than the manual. No internet video's, tutorials, forums. It is possible to learn a product from just the manual.

Re: Is LUT adjusting valid retouching?

Would you people just stop it?

Retouching is about correcting things locally, so until this is a part of PS there is no way it can be part of everyday workflow. It works, it just isn't PS. Also, I correct color locally by painting on a color layer, no need for super fancy anything, not curves, no LUTs, that is for more global adjustments when things are already managed locally. Wish Adobe would buy this company and integrate it into PS adjustment layers properly.

OK if so, why then the discussions among retouchers about how to sharpen an image (and doing so in Lab)? See the other forum discussion about this (Is Lab Color still relevant).

As a trained photographer, not a trained retoucher, should I understand that retouching is only about local correction?

Re: Is LUT adjusting valid retouching?

Who does that? I never ever do overall sharpening. Multiple radii, multiple areas, multiple masks. I am not being fancy or anything, it's just that I want some things sharper, and affecting everything is not something that's desired or necessary. Care to explain in what situations you do global sharpening?
