Fixing Glasses glare with channel

I usually fix glares on glasses using mixer brush and smudging, darkening with new blank layer.
One day, I found that most of glare are not shown on red channel.
But I don’t know how to modify using channel. like mixing or something..

Red Channel

Green Channel

Blue Channel

anybody know?

Re: Fixing Glasses glare with channel

The red channel still has glare. If the red channel had strong detail and a complete lack of glare, you could have attempted to reconstruct that small part of the image using only red channel data to rebuild the other two.

Glare can't always be darkened away. In those cases, you end up rebuilding it from surrounding areas, then shading appropriately.
