| PS Action for Adding a Sepia Tone I made up a small PS CS action for adding a sepia tint. It converts to CMYK and uses adjustment layers, so it is compatible with PS CS. Earlier versions of PS, if you convert to 8-bits. You can easily adjust the tint after you run the action. http://www.thelightsright.com/Digita...RSepiaTint.htm Enjoy! | I just posted version 1.0b on my site. (1) Adjustment layers are added to a layer set. (2) An action was added that adds a small amount of monochromatic noise to further simulate an old print. Enjoy! Mitch |

| Hi Mitch, I like to add a light Sepia toning to the older pictures I restore, so I tried your Action for Adding a Sepia Tone, first 'as is' then trying to change some of the 'default' values, on several pictures .... In the 'as is' version the final tone was a tad too red (this could be my monitor), but when I used the 'Toggle dialog on' and tried to change some of the values to my taste, the end result got green ..... Am I doing something wrong? |

| What got too red/green? What you see on the monitor or on the print? If there is a difference between what you see on the monitor and a print, I suggest you calibrate your monitor. Especially if you are going to try to make fine adjustments to a tinted image. If you do not like the result on the monitor, I suggest you add a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer. Adjusting the Lightness slider for the Master will make the sepia tone lighter/darker. You could also tweak the Saturation slider. The Hue slider will let you make a wholesale change quick to the hue of the sepia tone. You can also tweak the Hue slider for just the Reds or Yellows, too. Cheers, Mitch Quote:
