I found this site this morning and it has blown me away! Absolutely everything you need to know to create 360 and sphere QTVR. Tutorial links, software and equipment links... everything is here.

Check out their archives... to say they are awesome is an understatement. Among my favourites are Elves Chasm in Colorado and the 360 from the top of Mount Everest.

Yes its the best site for full screen panoramas. You may also want to look at www.panoguide.com that has a board and lots of info on ecuipment and software. That site helped me a lot when I was trying out to make 360x180 panoramas, with invaluable advice. ( my feeble attempts at http://www.pellepiano.com/qtvr/peleng/eriksdal.html )

I checked out your QTVR... the overhead view up through the tall trees is really, really beautiful. Makes me want to do a screen capture for a destop background. (smile)

I think I will try to do some this summer. Gives me time to learn about it and collect the necessary equipment.

Thx for the Panoguide link.. lots of good stuff there. Oh boy! I can hardly wait till the weather warms.

but i must say stitsching with fisheye pictures works better (because of the blooming the ccd of the panoscan )

heres a 360' video i made of downtown, its pretty neat (arcsoft software-panoramamaker)

I'll be interested to see what develops in this thread -- I have no knowledge in this area at all, other than viewing real estate ads that show the homes interiors. (If this is the same technology?)

Coal -- you HAVE a Panoscan camera!? Show us your beginning efforts!

Pellepiano -- I, like Sunfly, especially love the overhead look of the tree canopy. It's funny to see your camera bag, your shadow, and then turn the view around and around and never see YOU.
