Nice shot Phil, very American. We don't have any landscape that looks like that over here. It's the moss hanging from the trees makes it "alien" for me. That and the slightly brown tinge to the grasses and ground cover plants, ours tend to be more green.

Nikolas, great crop, really draws attention to her eyes (or should I say eye) in a way that a full face shot would never do. Few blown highlights which is a pity.

It was very interesting to recolorize this cartoon, it was scanned form the celuloid by the studio, it was lots of masking and layer blending techinques.

I've been trying out some lighting on this bottle and was quite intrigued to see the patterns in the edge.

I love what lighting can do with glass! Intriguing patterns.
I haven't done any lately, so maybe this will motivate me to try again.

So close that the subject is abstracted so that I am not sure what it is, which leaves it as form and color and line -- all which work together to make an interesting and attractive image. The sky appears a bit underexposed on the right side top of the image which detracts a bit from the yellow/blue contrast, but that could be my monitor. You will be having a lot of fun with your new lens!

DKcoats That sure looks cold. Where was this taken? Well my enclosed picture I did not take. I seemed to have received the above photo from several different people with a label like "a one in a million shot." I couldn't take it any more so I doctored up the photo and replied that I decided to go out and shoot some birds too and I got a one in two million shot.

Oh well.
