Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

I took this photo on Seabrook Island, SC. This was taken at low tide. The tide here where the N Edisto runs into the Atlantic is around five feet.

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

That is spectacular! Was that on film or software stitched?

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

It was software stitched. I just took the photos without a tripod and ran it through photoshops panoramic merge feature.

One of Yoda today,
have been off the radar for a while due to realising my monitor colours totally suck!
Now using a friends calibrated sony crt, the difference in colour is astounding.

Dxm, that shot is superb, i love the saturation and the surrounding colours give a metallic feel to the subject.

Am totally exhausted after running around the garden trying to get an action shot of Girly Girl, she is another rescue dog. This time 3 weeks ago she was in a word, emaciated and hardly had the strength to stand up, now she has bags of energy, far more than i have
My sister still hasn't figured on a name for her so i gotta call her something.
Taken with a D3 in the split second she was still..

not with the camera they move much too fast for me to keep up with them but the nest is only about 6 foot away from where i took the shot in a bird box we have put there (took them about 5 years to find it)

I was pleased how the colours turned out

Two of our rescue dog,
she had a name change to Pip.
These two are the first developed with Capture One 4.8, i just downloaded the trial and on first looks i'm impressed how it handles the Nikon files, seemingly better than Lightroom

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

taken with my Canon 300D Infrared modified by Mr. Harlim, this is a Version 3, using 18-55mm kit lens + CPL filter + built-in flash.

post processing for saturation, because Version 3 is actualy made for the best in Black & White Infrared Photography.
A little bit of Topaz Lab Adjust for enhancing the details.

Looks like infrared modified will automatically cleaning & smoothing the skin...without post processing.

.. When I moved my ladder a nest fell to the ground dumping some newly hatched birds (maybe day old) onto the grass.... said OOPS! and scooped them back into the nest and relocated it onto a nearby fence post, hoping their mom or dad would find them... they did.. and started setting up housekeeping.. these shots are about a week later

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

Nice shots Olbaldy,
i'm still trying to capture a pair of swifts who have nested under the eaves with a 70-300mm, somehow the lens just isn't long enough!
It was not my lucky day today after stalking this butterfly, set up the shot for a perfect exposure and just as i pushed the button, darn thing decided it had had enough and flew away, and @ 1/125 there was too much lens blurr...oh well c'est la vie,
Gary...

Made a whopping 24 megapixel image with a model. 6 images composited. Used a Vivitar camera flash in a umbrella to light the model in one of the shots.

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

It seems like "that time of year..." with all the beautiful flowers and bird pix. Some of you do work that I can only aspire to. You offer a challenge to excellence...and I know that sounds hokey, but it's the truth. I joined up here 4 years ago and have only felt comfortable to share my work around you in the past month. With that said,

Shot from my deck 2 days ago, and included the distance with a shot of the setup. I love these little bluebirds...and they are really, really loco, crazy...
