Algarve Images, I could look at your photographs all day. Pip (formally Girly Girl) looks like she's got the spark of a firecracker in her eye. I like to hear of rescue animals thriving in good homes.

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

i'm in Indianapolis taking care of my Mother who's had a stroke.
The hospital she's in is a stone's throw from the art museum where I shot this park bench.

I admit I'm feeling a bit maudlin which explains the mood in the 2nd picture I shot at the Metropolis Mall in Plainfield.

Thank you Veralisa, i have some good 4 legged subjects i guess,
Nasturtium, that's a great shot of the park chair and you got an interesting angle, i like the curves and the shadow cast underneath, if you get another chance may be a larger aperture to blurr the background would work also, my father is in hospital undergoing open heart surgery so i have to travel quite a distance each day to see him... lets pray they both make a good recovery...

For today a mantis, shot with totally the wrong lens again, but even heavily cropped, the detail is fantastic on the tiff file,
Gary...

Another garden snap taken this morning, it's a rose of magenta/yellow variety, but no idea what it's called

Naturtium, I looked at your second pic and understood exactly what you described. Very greyish, just plain blah. BUT, I think it's a great capture...what a right, sight-on gal!

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

After an hour or so trying to get a shot of the swifts in my back garden, they must be fitted with afterburners, i settled on a lumbering pidgeon, still managed to not get it totally in focus...

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

Gary...maybe that's where those birds got their name? lol. I tried to reshoot the parkbench but couldn't get the background blurred with my P&S...the only camera I have with me. Thanks for your prayers - they are working!

I found out that I can shoot in 'sepia' which seemed appropriate for my sister's campsite. This take is a mistake - I thought I'd set the self timer...oops!
