Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

Tonight hubbie & I went out on Lake Wallenpaupack to catch the sunset. Well, we needed to leave before the sun actually bid adieu so it's quite hot, as in blown out, but here it is anyway. The first view is just out of the camera and then with Flaming Pear's India Ink (love it so much) .

If anyone wishes to try & bring out the shadows, please feel free.

Too funny Palms. Is the duck the blue one or the one with ears?

Question Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

This is a caterpillar I discovered yesterday...but am totally stumped trying to identify it. Can anyone here recognize it? The predominant color is a robin's egg blue/tourquoise. And I never even saw the green hairs till it was up on the monitor (the picture that is).

I'm a busy shooter and when I find a "location", I'm going at about 100 clicks per hr. For this last trip I added a little G10 to the arsenal and that really bumped up the count.

Used a DSLR at specific sites, but for all the walkin' around stuff, I just banged away with the little Canon. ISO 80, P mode, 1/3 under. What a hoot. And surprisingly good results.

I bracket a lot, as well, so have already trashed about 800 shots. Now the fun begins.

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

All in all, this is a pretty lousy photo, shot on a heavily overcast day, in the shade, with a 300mm lens through 4 inches of plate glass (that wasn't exactly clean). But it's cute. It's the newest edition to the Knoxville Zoo, Baby George, with his mom Daisy.

Cheers,
Michael

Thank you Naturtium, it really does look like it. Yuckie. This is the catapillar I always want to see distroyed because of the trees it in turn destroys. Never looked really close at them to see how pretty they can be. Should be a lesson in there somewhere but I still think they're yuckie.
