Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

This is a shot from the rooftop of the hotel where my wife and I stayed Saturday night. The bld. in the foreground is Safeco Field, home of the Seattle Mariners major league baseball team.

This is my first experiment with trying to get HDR. Overkilled on the colors, but my kids liked it!

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

I shot these yesterday and did a little processing on them today,

The big deal about them is i actually took my little camera of automatic mode for the first time but no worries after taking a few i put it back on,

also instead of a bit of handy paper i have invested a whole £2 on stretch canvas's about 15" X11" and painted one black, ( makes life a lot easier, and I might invest in bigger ones ) and a bit of florists oasis to hold the flower in

Beware all you photography experts i am on my way (not)

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

Yesterday morning as I drove to work there was still a smidgen of ice left on the little lake near my house. By that afternoon, after a day of 75-degree weather, it was gone. I guess spring has finally come to the frozen tundra.

I merged three exposures to HDR in Photoshop, then did a couple of different mappings in Artizen. Back in PS, layered the more-extreme version over the not-so-much in luminosity mode and lowered the opacity a bit. Did some selective color tweaking and a little D&B. (Shot yesterday, processed today)

GREAT shot! I love the HDR feel. It isn't overdone or grungy looking. Just right.

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

HI I took this last week, I has gone to a nature trail and just stepped out of the car and there was this pretty cardinal and his mate (too bad i didn't get her too). I also took this small garden waterfall.
Nikon D40
I know I was in aperture priority, still don't know how to get the info off the photo.

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

I shot this at Oxbow Bend on Sunday 4/27. This bird is actually walking on a frozen part of the Snake River. It was an incredible day bright sunshine multiplied by snow and ice. This was shot about 2:00 in the afternoon.

For post processing I used levels to blow out the ice even more than it already was. I also used the replace color command to get rid of variances in the color of the ice and snow (except for the birds footprints).

I added the frame to separate the image from the rest of the page when posted.

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today)

Very, very nice Danny. I really like the way the conversion came out on this one. She is getting to be way too pretty for her own good. You should be proud.

All the above photos are great; good work! These are a couple of pictures I snapped while out for a nice spring walk in Toronto.
