Very nice Chris and welcome back. The black and white conversions are especially well done. The first one is a real stunner.

Chris, those ruins under dark clouds is wonderful. Love the symmetry in the third shot - nice composition. That cat (British Shorthair?) has its haughtiness expression nailed!

Re: Few shots with my D40X

The cat is a local moggy. Not sure where it lives, or what breed it is, but it's a real character
No2 is one of my favourites of Sandal Castle in West Yorkshire, UK. It's been PS'd to death with dodge n burn, paint with light and inverted sky, but the end result now hangs 20"x30" framed on 2 school walls locally.

Good shots Chris. PS'd to death or not, the 2nd has great atmosphere.

3rd one looks familiar, where was it taken ?
