Re: Discussion Thread - November Competition Coastal Texas in the fall ----- hmmmmm ---- This could be tricky. I may have to go farther than my own back yard. Farther north that is ;+}

Re: Discussion Thread - November Competition That was exactly my intent when I picked "fall" as the topic. It does not necessarily mean just "the season"...

Re: Discussion Thread - November Competition I could take a shot of a 401K graph --:=} Ok Ok Its just that fall colors are less spectacular along the gulf coast and even then it has to drop below 80 degrees to get there--so for me it just won't be foliage. I did take a photo of Fall Aster which blooms in the early fall here. But I think I'll keep looking----- Sandi

Re: Discussion Thread - November Competition I can't make my 401K look good unless I add a couple of extra digits. But I could maybe get the exposure right--oh well. Easy come easy go--

| Re: Discussion Thread - November Competition Although I missed the 11/28 cut (holiday travel; it is what it is), I wanted to post this pic as it's one I especially like -- which does not happen often. I'm fortunate to live in an area with awesome "Fall colors" that has a few sunny, cloudless days this time of year. Shot with a Nikon D300, 18-200 VR; 1/250 sec, f/8, ISO 200. Added some saturation and contrast in Photoshop. ======= Sandi: re: "Fall" of 401K brilliant (albeit painful) pun. Where in the Seattle area are you temporarily located? Are you ready for the rainy season that's about to hit? (If the December theme is puddles, we'll have a leg up on most folks. LOL) ======== 2nd attachment: Same river, different location. | Re: Discussion Thread - November Competition We are in Des Moines for a year--DH is a contract engineer for Alaska Airlines. After that we will head back to dixie to pick up the sailboat (44ft trimaran) which needed major reconstruction of the port ama after IKE. Hopefully, we will be in position by then to take off for Belize. PS --you don't need a sunny cloudless day for brilliant color--some of the most colorful photos taken on the trip to Seattle were at Bryce Canyon with high overcast-- http://www.adoramapix.com/AlbumSlide...6-8894efc0575d Hope to see your entry for the next challenge!
