40s Hollywood images site ...

Decided to make a site for my images in this style, but thought it would be neat to do it under another name, so I invented this Joesph P Lutz character and wrote a bio,did 5 sessions, borrowed a large format camera as prop, built the site and now its ready. It will get updated whenever I do some sessions in this style again.

Below is a selfportrait of mr Lutz/me =)

I love the lay out and the theme. It does not hurt that you have beautiful models ;-)

The pictures are wonderful. The processing really makes them look as if they were created in the era/style of classy black and white. You have done a great job. Creatively speaking, Wowsers!

You did a wonderful job with your website. Easy on the eyes, great looking images, Simple design/not too busy. A bit too slow for me to wait to see all the photos though. I did bookmark it and plan on going back.

Love the site and the images, with one exception. The 3rd row down on the left edge, the model seems to have a nose ring which is not in keeping with a 40's image.... Tom

Wow!! I am a newbie with PS and photography and I am in awe of these photos. I would love to learn how you put the soft touches on them. The website is amazing also, I really like how you put the name "Joesph P Lutz" on the front of his old studio. Nice touch!

Re: 40s Hollywood images site ...

Thank you.

I have used a lot of Dodge and Burn on most of them to add some selective contrast. Softening is just some Gaussian Blur on a separate layer with a layer mask to control its range..

With the Free Transform tool its easy to give som perspective to text.

Re: 40s Hollywood images site ...

Thanks. No, I used my Canon 40d and the cheap but good 50mm 1.8 lens. Also used some cheap undiffused china strobes =)
