| Re: how do i get this kind of lighting There are some that used daylight and most likely a reflector or two. There are a few that look like a ring light was used. The majority appear to be taken with regular studio flash units with umbrellas as a modifier. |

It works here because she has white hair. The neon blue takes to white and lighter tones. See below for an example (PSD was made in CS4) I made it in 5 min and the picture is unedited besides the color. You could probably create the red also by doing the same thing but opposite. Masking only what you want. You can buy gel filters at any major seller of strobes. Hope this helps, -Keven Last edited by igot2pman; 01-25-2009 at 12:47 AM. |

| Re: how do i get this kind of lighting OK sorry about that. Color changes are almost always done by either gelling the lights or in PS or a combination of the two. Bulbs only come in a very limited number of colors, the most common is either tungsten (kind of yellow) and day lite. Usually they are referred to by their K temp, somewheres around 3200 for the tungsten and 6000 for the day lite. Gels are available in literally hundreds of colors. Large camera stores and theatrical equipment stores both carry them. They come in large sheets that one can cut down to put over their light so the color is projected into the scene. Great fun to use and one can get very creative with them. |

| Re: how do i get this kind of lighting Yes and no depending if you know what color you exactly want. They come in sets (expensive) and also in individuals (not so bad but may not have the colors you need). Here are some from B&H -Keven |
